OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27):
When all of a bail lies outside any boundary ditch/fence/hedge or line
of white stakes. The driving range.
INTERNAL OUT OF BOUNDS:
To the right side of both the 7th and 11th fairways.
IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTION (Rule 24)
Free relief: Sprinkler heads, manhole covers, staked
trees and tractor ruts. If overhead wires are struck the shot must be replayed. All other man
made obstructions are integral parts of the course - no free relief.
INTEGRAL PARTS OF THE COURSE:
All pathways are integral parts of the course, and the ball
must be played as it lies. However, if your stance, backswing or follow-through - but not the intended
line of play - is effected by the log edgings, then free relief may be obtained at the nearest point of
relief, no nearer to the hole.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR - Play prohibited (Rule 25):
Should a player's ball or stance infringe on any area marked as GUR. the player must take relief.
WIRE SCREENS:
If a ball lies within 15 normal paces of a screen and the players intended line
of shot, stance, backswing or follow-through is affected by the screen, free relief may be obtained
as follows: The bail may be lifted and dropped, (on a continuation of a straight line from the hole
to where the ball was lifted) within 15 normal paces from the screen, no nearer to the hole.
PREFERRED LIES AND WINTER RULES:
A ball lying on any closely mown area through
the green may, without penalty, be moved or lifted, cleaned and placed within six inches of where it originally lay, but not nearer to the hole. After the ball has been moved or placed, it is
in play. "Closely mown area" refers to any area of the course cut to fairway length or less. Elsewhere on the course, (except in a bunker or water hazard) if the ball lies in its own pitchmark it may be marked, lifted and then placed within six inches of where it originally lay, but not nearer to the hole, without penalty.
Penalty for breach of local rule:
Match play - Loss of hole.
Stroke play - Two strokes.
