Family restaurant

Offering a contemporary twist on classical dishes, our cuisine reflects the seasons and is dedicated to providing delicious, wholesome food. Children are always welcome, and we have a special children's menu available.

All dishes are freshly prepared using local produce wherever possible. For example, our fish is delivered fresh from West Bay and our vegetables are sourced from local growers in the Yeovil area.

In addition to à la carte cuisine, we hold special events all year round - for example; lobster nights, traditional tea dances, summer pudding night, cheese and wine night, children only night (with disco), and many more.

In summer we also regularly put on barbecues and hog roasts – a treat and great fun for all the family.

Surrounded by parkland and woods, yet close to Yeovil and Stoford (with a direct rail service to London), the Hickory Bar and Restaurant is the perfect venue for a special family event – for weddings, birthday parties, family reunions, as well as an ideal way to celebrate a life.

In addition, there is no better setting for a conference or other business meeting.

We can create the perfect meal for your event, with a menu to suit your particular requirements, as well as appropriate table arrangements and decoration. Up to 60 people may be catered for when a sit-down meal is appropriate, or 100 people if a buffet is preferred.
